I am considering changing my windshields after I get back to the RV. I also need to change the dinette window and drivers window due to fogging.

The refrig works just fine but is sort of crappy inside, the shelves are rusty.

I suspect I need to remove a window/windshield to replace the refrig so the question is:

Do I replace the refrig now or just the windows. Murphys law states that if I don't ever replace the windows the refrig will last forever, but it will fail in days of my replacement of the windows.

The refrig is 12 years old but works fine????

Mine failed last year - two-door Norcold. It wasn't that hard to get out, although I had to remove the overdash TV and fabricate a roller to tip the reefers over the sofa. Linky

As to the crappy shelves, New ones are available. Been there and done that.

Second when the refer went out on our barth we removed it and laid it on the floor. Then I replaced the cooling unit (easy job) and stuck it back in it's hole.
