The oil pressure gauge on my 91 Breakaway 5.9 Cummins is not working. The shop tested the engine oil pressure and it is ok. Can someone please tell me where the sensor is located? Need to know pretty quick if possible.
thanks
Jim

I have the same question. There was no response to the question of where to find the sensor. Frowner Could someone suggest where I might look for the sensor. Confused

According to the Internet gods:

Cummins (OEM) 12 valve (single wire) oil pressure sensor is located below the injection pump and could be in front of or behind injection pump support bracket. The location was determined by the factory installing the engine.
Cummins (OEM) 24 valve (three wire) oil pressure sensor is located below the ECM.

Turned out that the problem was one of the three wires that were attached to the gauge, came loose. Once attached, everything ok.
