My Dometic won't work with shorepower and I have no idea why. I've checked cb's and everything I know about. My question is should I try to use it on propane? It's only a few years old and worked well when I bought this Barth in May and a couple of times since then, but now when we have people staying in it, it quits. Any input?

Dumb questions first.. Shore power switch on?

Do you have a light on the frig and does it switch to AC?..Is the light on?

Fuse?

This doesn't solve your problem, but fridges usually work better on propane, anyway.

Had the same problem - one day it would only work on propane .. Problem traced to a defective circuit board. Replaced with a dinosaur brand board - problem fixed. Not a cheap fix - but an easy one to do. Used my multimeter and determined I had 110v to the board and zero out. Be careful - 110v will bite.
