does anyone know if the GM lower radiator hose ( or something as good) is still available foe the 79 454? I have tried two the last one being a ribbed one from NAPA and they all eventually rub the lower crankshaft balancer. Thanks Richard

Two things:

1. Be sure the new hose has a spring inside it. If not, use your old one.

2. Be sure you are getting a Motor Home hose. Some places only list a P30 van hose. Depending you your year, there can be a difference.

Here is an earlier thread on this: Earlier Thread
