I plan to put up a couple of heat shields between the exhaust pipes and the fuel lines to try to get rid of the on-going vapor lock problem. I figured on using galvanized steel flashing, attaching it to the steel frame with small nut-bolt attachment, drilling through the frame. What metal should I use for the nut-bolt combination so electrolosis is minimized?

Since you are already using zinc plated metal, zinc plated fasteners would be good.

To further combat corrosion, force a little vaseline into the bolt hole first. Afterwards, shoot a little LPS-3 on anything that might corrode. It goes on thin and sets up to a sort of wax. Motorcycle chain lube does a good job, too, but is messy to remove for any work.
