We are planning on going across country this summer. I would like to install my ski rocket box on the roof rack but of course it is more like a railing then a roof box.
1. This should support a not more than 30 pound box right. 2. Any ideas on how to attach a rear bar for it. I thought about using structural pipe fittings but they don't make ones that open. Would require complete disassembly of the rack to install the fitting on the pipe.
3. I will be taking a motorcycle as a toad, anybody mount a spare tire on the roof and if so I would love to see your pics of how to do it.

Thanks Doug, those are like all the ones I have seen (one piece slip on collars not ones that bolt around). In other words I'd have to remove the rack to install it. Trying to avoid disturbing it as I know that will lead to problems down the road.
