I've been in the hunt for 3 days to no avail. They tell me BF Goodrich was the last one and they stopped making this tire at the end of 2014. Not even Tire Rack can get me a pair. What are Barth owners doing to replace this odd size tire/wheel?

I know a few changed there 19.5 front steer wheels and tires to these 16.5 wheels and tires. Are you the current owner of Dave Bowers coach. He had the 16.5 on his Regal. Claimed it drove and road better than 19.5. My suggestion is to locate 19.5 wheels and put some 19.5 225 70R on the steer wheels. Large selection of mfg. for this size tire.

I dont know who Dave is.
Fie! Dave Bowers is numero uno: Barthmobile founder, historian (Barthmobile CD); accomplished musician, raconteur and genuine Renaissance Man. He nurtured this website for years beore passing the baton. Last I heard, he is alive and well in retirement in Scandahoovia (Minnesota).
I miss his input, as do all on this site.

My SOB had 16.5" wheels; after a couple got warped, I tried many replacements (all used, as no new were being made) and finally bought all 16" and had an adaptor for the hubs made. Only PowerKing made 16.5 tires back then, AFAIK.

I had new Firestone 8.75R16.5 put on our 76 Barth Class C just before the last Chattanooga GTG. Set of 6 just under $1200. Good Highway tires. I looked at changing to 16" but tires would have cost me just as much plus the wheel cost.

The 16.5s that Dave Bower put on his steer wheel were I believe on a wider rim and were larger than these. Some earlier Post have discussed these steer wheels and tires on Dave's.
