Sony back-up camera system SSM-721AMR Cleaned all the connections. The monitor comes on but only grey screen or static. From what I've seen CAMERA should be the culprit??

I thought of that. As I plugged and unpluged the wire connection I could see response at the monitor. No picture just response, change in static. That is why I suspect the camera.

The camera was dead on my 86 Regal. Bought a cheap security camera from Kmart on line, worked fine! The camera is made by Swann and cost about $30. Had to swap one connecter, though.
