The longer, the better. Both for sitting underneath and shading the side of the coach. It it covers the steps, you will be less likely to have a mudhole there.

Spring for the extra bucks for the acrylic woven material and the metal sun guard. The vinyl ones don't last nearly as long. Even the part that is not exposed to sun when rolled up gets brittle, and the hangy-down edge gets caught by the wind and torn at the seam where it attaches to the roller.

A roller lock, either aftermarket or home-made can save you from disaster.

We had some wind curtains made of shade cloth that blocks both sun and wind. Blocking the wind can make the difference between staying inside or enjoying life outside.

Also keeps the wind from interfering with BBQ-ing or smoking.

The large curtain slips into the groove in the roller.
