I've searched the forum and internet on different type sealants to seal around windows, vent covers, storage compartments, running lights, etc. Silicone, polyurethane, Dyco caulk, 3m and others seem to all do the job. Any preference? Past experience? Thanks, ------------------ Ronnie 1985 28' P-30 454

Google-in some of the vintage Airstream trailer sites and you'll find forums that discuss this at great length...different products for different applications, etc. Some of these Airstream folks are real fanatics about their sealants....... For me, the Sikaflex products have been great....also the PL series from 3-M...any of them will last for a decade or more at minimum....(Wonder what Barth used?...I've got factory-sealed joints going on 27 years...)

Ronnie, I've used NAPA butyl rubber window sealer to redo mine. It appears to be what Barth used on ours originally. Cost is around $13 to do one of the larger windows over the dinette. Has worked very well so far and is very easy to install (once you get the windowframe out, of course)
