Kohler Generator Repair help
I'm trying to diagnose/repair my Kohler generator on my 83 Regency. I've attached a few pictures. The model number seems to be 7.5CS2-RV, spec 106292A. The carburetor is completely seized up, was hoping to get ahold of a replacement. Also, the last owner seems to think maybe the magneto isn't functioning properly? Any advice?

I might want to repair that old relic too. Magneto might just need cleaned. Soak the carburetor in lacquer thinner for a few days to clean it up. Check the compression too. Did you check for spark before tearing the magneto out? Here are some other options.

FYI.... broken starter mount

Is that the 7500 watt twin cylinder gas unit? My 85 Regal has one. I had a situation where the starter mount housing broke on mine.....the problem was the mount was an integral cast part of the block and the only way to fix it was to replace the block. It only had 275 hours on it so I wanted to save it. I was able to fabricate a starter mount bracket that bolted to the underside of the block and it works fine now....so if that happens don't be disheartened like I was initially...it is repairable.

Is this a 4cyl? If so there should be a bunch in boat scrapyards. Mine is a 1967 6.5 and I just fired it up for this season Monday. I think it has about 2000 hrs on it and it loves a load. Another info source http://commanderclub.com/page/files-f-j
