It's rarely cold here. It actually froze the last few days. I noticed some tree sap on the windshield and decided to razor it off. Hey it's frozen and chips right off. Very cool. The crappy bugs cam off easily too. I noticed any gummy substance on the outside chipped off easily. Any other cool things to do while it's cold outside?

I can think of only a few reasons to like cold: termites, cockroaches, fire ants, flies/mosquitos When temps are upper teens to twenties, skiing, sledding, snowmobiling, ice fishing, skating... lots to do. But this year we're seeing single digits and way minus wind chills, too cold for bare skin for long, not so much fun. Meanwhile we got a double whammy: lots of snow and extreme cold. We've had snow at least every other day for 2 months and temps way below average. Only 4 or 5 days above freezing, none for the last month. Keeps me busy blowing snow... (put over 20 gallons gas through the tractor already this year) Also hauling firewood. Picked a good year to have a giant pile of firewood ready. With the current propane scam I have saved a bunch of money with the woodstove. Prepaid at $2.20/gal (now over $4) and only used about 100 gal in the last 7 weeks. Oops, this was supposed to be about cool stuff in the cold... Well, I changed another Barth wheel 2 days ago... 15 degrees. Checked air in all tires, dragged kayaks up on roof. Installed the new blower fan motor. Installed the latest upgrade chip for the fuel injection computer, checked over the belts and hoses. Having previously shoveled the roof, it fired right up and I moved it ahead for loading and more prep. So, the cold can be a great motivator to get one moving so as to escape from it. One more week.. 8 degrees and snowing now 9708-M0037-37MM-01 "98" Monarch 37 Spartan MM, 6 spd Allison Cummins 8.3 325+ hp
