I test drove a unit yesterday but found it under powered@ to noisey. I went to clinton Mo 250 miles north of me to try it out , owner said it got 15 to 17 mpg.Also Bill H the 35 ft barth on mci will not need a tag axel, but it sure looks nice.I realy do not want a rig that long. James | ||||

James: I believe that Bill H is kidding about the "MCI". He definitely knows that it is an MCC coach. Typo or error in the ad. | ||||

Jeffrey, I wasn't kidding. The ad says MCI bus chassis. I have not heard of a Barth on an MCI chassis, but Barth did so many different things that who knows? Like Ford gas pushers, great big diesel pullers, Iveco, etc. Heck, they even made 30' tags and 30' non-tag P30s in the same year. The Allison AT-545 was used in a lot of MCI busses. I don't think Morrie would mislead. | |||

I've been watching this for any infro on the Chevy 6.5. Ilooked at a coach with a 94 6.5 and have read all the threads on the motor and sill can't make up my mind if it is a durable motor or not. | |||

To my best recollection, the 6.2 and 6.5 are very different motors. The 6.2 was a modified gas engine, and the 6.5 was purpose built by AM General to replace the 6.2 in the Hummer. The 6.2 is generally felt to be a "dog". Poor reliability and no power. The 6.5 is a good engine, for a light truck that is... | |||
