QuinnLeaning Zip Dee Awning
I'm going crazy with the posts today. Just getting excited about the Barth.
When we got home from our last trip, the awning supports were leaning forward quite a bit:
There is a mysterious bracket sticking out of the awning arm at the rear:
Is bracket supposed to latch to something? It doesn't seem like it. To me, it looks like the only thing keeping the awning arms vertical is the connection between the awning and the RV itself. Ours move quite a bit. You tube video:

DoormanIt looks like you are missing a screw out of the end of the stainless cover slat.

SandytoesOur coaches are almost exactly the same. When I get home on Friday, I'll take a look at how mine is attached, then report back. Definitely, mine stays vertical and doesn't move.

Ditto. There should be a screw screwed into the rail the cover slides into. The one at the front must have broken or backed out. Those pieces that are hanging out need to be slid back in also.

L78steveDid you hit something while backing?

QuinnNo, we've only had the rig out a few times. Noticed a little lean last time, but seemed worse this time when we got home. Arms aren't bend and lower connections are still solid. Maybe a PO did.

L78steveLooks to me that one of the keeper screws that hold the aluminum cover slats aligned came out at the aft end.
The top cover slat is being held by the flex key while the rest of the awning assy. is moving forward.

Looks home made to replace the factory piece.
