Modern Ford chassis and even Workhorse chassis both hold 2-lbs of R134a so I would start there and you should be very close.

If the refrigerant capacity sticker is still on the evaporator housing for R-12 then multiply that by.8 for the equivalent R134a capacity.

Don’t forget about PAG oil!

just for peoples information .

we replace the compressor , ,belts , hoses , changed over to 134r etc with a very competent mechanic .. and he did what i requested of him

and all is in and working and it cools down the driver and front passenger just a little bit , just a little . all for $2500.00 .

maybe or maybe not i should of had a belt by passing the ac and purchase bags of ice when we travel in stead .

years ago in one of my first replies i stated if anyone buys one of these he should have a sock draw full of $100 bills that he has not counted , it was correct
