Well I found another project to occupy my time. Spent the last couple of days replacing the control valves on the rear suspension. The old valves had been bypassed and the leveling was accomplished manually by adjusting the air pressure at a schrader valve. One for each side. Not too bad of a job. Installed the two new valves and ran all new air lines. The old lines were 1/8th inch and I replaced them with 3/16 lines. Adjusted the ride height in the driveway but will probably need to be readjusted on a nice level hard surface. Nick

Dear Nick - We have recently become the proud owners of a 1994 Breakaway XL - 33 foot. It is also on a Gillig chassis & has air brakes and air suspension. The leveling is hydraulic, not air and I am wondering if our Gillig chassis is the same as yours. Seems to sit higher and only 4 (Koni) shocks. GVW 25,300 LBS. Question - where is the Height control valve/s on Ugly Betty? Is there one for each corner or 1 for each end? Am thinking would like to adjust ours down a couple of inches and put wider tires on the front. Think it would be happier in crosswinds and when trucks pass :-).. Thanks, Rich & Penny Farr - Tulsa

Our Regency has a different rear suspension than most. It has four rear air bag and four rear shocks, etc, It has a leveling valve on each side in the rear but only one that controls the front. According to our Gillig manual the correct adjustment is 10 inches measured between the bottom of the frame rail and the air bag mounting plate. Nick
