Just did 1500 miles. I did have a couple of times where I thought I didn't get the shifter in the right spot. Wouldn't do anything, couple minutes latter starts right up.

Soooooooooo todayyyyyyyyyyyyy I tried to recreate the problem.

I had just put new carpeting in before trip. Down low is the brake pedal/shifter interlock switch. It seems to work no matter how I adjust it. I can find no adjustment for the shifter being in park. The switch cable seems to be moving freely.

Possible ignition switch????????? Seems to me it doesn't know its in park.

New motor, batteries,starter.

1995 P32 chassis 454 Chevy.

Not sure how your chassis is set up, but a while ago I was curious about the neutral switch on my 86. Couldn't find it on the linkage or the trans. It is mounted high up the column, just under the PRNDSL indicator. Might check that in case. hmm

Took my starter off and had it tested. It did nothing. New starter and I'm ready to go again. I've never had one just quit. Thumbs Up
