Brake Master Cylinder
Are all the P30 454 rigs set up with the master cylinder in such a b*tch of a place to get to? Or was this a bad joke intended for the Europeans that were supposed to buy this coach? The only access is to remove the left front wheel and the sheet metal behind it. The wheel isn't such a big deal but that sheet metal has been there since 1981 and it's not exactly going to just come unscrewed!
By next week she'll have the new cylinder, along with new rear calipers,[the fronts are already new,] and new rubber lines. For those who don't know, GM brake lines that are rubber, [nearest the wheel], have a tendency with age to close off and mimic a sticking caliper by not allowing fluid to flow back from the caliper. If your brakes are dragging, start there.

Mine is like that. I use a piece of wire to hold the sheet metal out of the way while I work.

Heck, be glad you don't have a tag! That MC is so hidden that a lot of owners and even their mechanics don't know it is there.

Thanks bill, my wrench said he hoped to be able to do that, but wouldn't know for sure till he got the wheel off. If apples are apples, he'll be glad to know he can.
