Ok Dale, don�t wish for something you may not want. I was holding this post for more info, but I�ll use the quite time on the board for my post. OK, here I go.

I recently purchased some replacement latches for my bay doors. Found them at Southco.
The ones I purchased were Grey powder coat, and have the �Tubular key�. The pawl I got (which I ordered was offset, and I really wanted and needed straight, but the best guess for part number got what I got.
The part number I ordered was E3 65 715 75 and the correct one probably is to change the �715� to �735� but that is a guess in the fact that I emailed the company earlier and have no answer to this part number question. The company I bought them from was www.clancey.com and I paid about $107 for 6 latches and 3 keys.
The key part number is E3-5-15.

Very similar latches are available from Campers Choice at a cost of about $5.00 each depending on the length.

I think the big difference here is that these latch differently. When latching you turn the latch clockwise 90 degrees and the latch is in position to secure bay door, then you turn another 90 degrees to 'pull in' the latch almost a quarter of an inch, making a tightly latched bay door.
Another difference is that all are keyed the same. (Not really a good difference).

Thanks Carl, but I'm using the ones from the latches I'm replacing as I go. So far one is messed up, but usable. Bring a couple to Indiana in June. Good barter stuff.

Jack, just checking in to see if the bay door latches worked for you. i'm in need of a few replacements also but don't want to order if they don't work or if better are available.

I have replaced most of the original latches with these; they are the direct replacement for what I had. The only difference was the actual latch, the originals are straight, and the ones I ordered and received were offset. I reused the original ones in most cases. I did buy new SS screws and washers to mount them to eliminate any corrosion issues.

thanks jack, the question marks were because i couldn't get the replies to come up on this puter. love reading about your travels by the way! looks like i'll just order some of these latches as i've been unable to find anything close to them around here. only need two but i'm sure others are waiting to fail until later. my barth takes 13 total.
