2/16 Captain Doom |
On my way back from GA to FL, I got a bit of shimmy, so I pulled over to check the tires. All were fine, and the shimmy sometimes disappeared, but never got worse.. When I went to pull back onto the roadway, after a quick scan of the instrument panel, I had no power steering or brakes. Here are my troubleshooting steps to restore function: 1. Fan belt: Check - Intact 2. Power steering fluid: Check - Normal level 3. Start engine: Check - Everything now works I must have hit the keys with my knee when getting up, shutting down the engine; with the generator running, I didn't notice. At-rest position of the gauges is what would be normal for running, and I didn't notice there was no "thump" when I put it into gear...
