We have a leak in our 92 right rear hwh .It is not coming out of the main CYL. IT is coming out of the nut that is about 1 1\4 dia. ,The rest of the cylinder is dry only for about one forth of the lower half of the cylinder. What could it be? Can I fix it or will have to send it in?

Lennie, the HWH cylinder is a welded unit and is not rebuildable in the field. HWH does not use a "nut" that size that I am aware of. It could be that the cylinder has fractured in which case it is junk. E-mail a picture of the leak to me along with a picture of the part number "APxxx". I will investigate this for you, we are a certified HWH service center.

Lenny's jack is leaking at what I think is the kick-down cylinder. When he operates that jack a steady stream of fluid leaks out between the nut and the threads.

These pictures are of my jack, not Lenny's.

Looks like our coaches are getting to be the same number of dog years as us! I had the same problem though the left rear. Sent it in to HWH and they rebuilt it for about $375 plus shipping. I suspect your Doc gave you thumbs up so you can "work" again, so it is easy to remove if you get a proper brass plug for the hydraulic line, then I recommend shipping to Billy. He can get it done faster if anyone can.
