If you were going to put a new tailpipe and muffler on a Kohler, would you try to get the original parts or just go to a good muffler shop and have them make them up? Don't have the model yet but it's from the '91 Breakaway.

Hi Jim,

Corey recycled a BMW motorcycle muffler and used it on the Kohler generator on the Moonbeam Express/Tonka. It's stainless, looks great and seems to work fine. Unfortunately it doesn't sound anything like a BMW motocycle but it's still reasonably quiet for a three cyclinder Kubota diesel. Smiler
