60 amp PD it is. I would have gone for the 6 volt batteries had I discovered at the same time that both of the batteries were damaged. The first was replaced when I noticed the swollen casing. Subsequently I determined the other battery would not hold a proper charge while not in use. I understand that the 12 volts generally do not recover from an excessive discharge (under 10.5v) whereas 6v batteries can. Thanks to all for flattening the steep learning curve. Not looking forward to getting up to speed with solar. '92 Breakaway Cummins 190hp, No Modifications Allison AT542 Floor Plan 30-BS-11B 9205-3798-30BS11B

FWIW, the fan on my 60 amp rarely runs. If you have run the batts down being off the grid then plug in, it will charge heavy for a while and the fan may come on then but most of the time it just sits there. 9708-M0037-37MM-01 "98" Monarch 37 Spartan MM, 6 spd Allison Cummins 8.3 325+ hp
