OUR 1990 BARTH REGAL , DISC BRAKES ALL AROUND. OSHKOSH CHASSIE. we have had this maybe 3 years and only one trip to Florida not a lot of use since.. stored inside. good condition brakes completely redone apx 5 years 5 ,000 miles ago . but a caliper ( different ones) have hung up on 4 different times.. i have got under the rv and with a big bar was able to push the pads at least on the inside back enough ( 1/8 - 1/4 inch.) .to get some travel. i guess moving the " floating " caliper enough to brake the little rust spot which must have hung it up and all is well ;; untill i run it again four months later .. i don't have big enough equipment to take all the wheels off and file down the slides every spring and i know a very small dab of high temp grease would help somewhat but it think this would be a yearly thing. and getting the grease in the magic spot is a crap shoot. my 2002 dodge van has stainless steel very thin slides between the end of the pad and the slide on the caliper ,, does anyone know the caliber part number and brand numbers for this thing and /or has anyone installed slides similar to on the dodge or i think 50 full sized vans or trucks also are the lug nuts really 500 ft # torque ??? thanks my guess is this has been asked before but i don't know how to find it jack finn | |||
