Hi Barthers, I am building a passive solar log house , the problem I am building in my new home province of Nova Scotia but my logs cut numbered & stored are in Ont. 1200 miles away. I am planning non towing an aluminum deck over trailer with my 10 x 10 logs on it. HOW MUCH WEIGHT can my Barth handle? I have a 30 ft Breakaway with 5.9 cumins & 4 sp alison tranny? Thanks for any help.

Baby Barth, undoubtedly other members have more experience than I, being an owner of a 30' Breakaway for only the past two years, however, that said, on a recent trip, we weighed our unit on a certified scales at a Rutter's truck stop. It weighed 16,555 lbs. It's my understanding that 20,000 GVW is what is recommended for the maximum weight and I would imagine that may be combination weight; motorhome, trailer, or towd. The engine drivetrain may handle more(brakes might be a bit sketchy) but it's not something that I would try unless the road was flat & the destination close. Good Luck & Best Wishes, John
