I am almost complete with renovating our 1988 Regal 25. I noticed yesterday that I lost my clearance, tail, and side turn signals. I have headlights, brake lights, and front and rear turn signals along with 4-ways.
Chassis electrical is not my strong side. Any suggestions are welcome.
Does anybody have fuse diagram for that coach? Is the fuse box in the driver's wheel well the only one for the chassis?
Thanks,
Peter

There is a 1986 GM chassis manual here on the site. Covers just chassis though.

On my 86 Regal there was a rocker switch on the left side instrument panel that was used to flash the clearance lights. It was normally closed and fed power to the clearance lights from the headlight switch. When the switch failed I lost all the clearance light like you did. Check yours if you have this switch.

Thanks for the tip, I will check on it.
I also noticed my dashboard lights are gone as well.

My clearance light switch seems to be fine. Unfortunately I verified that there's short somewhere in the circuit. Let the hunting begin!
Steve, did your Regal had a DOCK LTS. switch in the same area? If yes, what was it for? I have one, it is wired but I don't know to what.
Thanks!

Yes, my Regal had side dock lights near the back wheels. They were connected to the switch in the front panel.

The clearance lights were fed from the headlight switch to the clearance flasher switch on the panel, then from that switch to all over the coach. One leg goes up the driver window corner to the lights above the windshields. Others to the side and rear clearance lights.

In the past I have sometimes found it easier to replace/bypass the original wiring. My lights above the windshield had rotten splices everywhere. I replaced with a new feed wire daisy chained to all the lights. No more problems.

Good luck with your projects! Mechanic

Thanks for the great advise!
Miraculously I have found the offender - clearance light, relatively quickly. Rewired that light and we are good to go!
