I'm going to install a satellite radio in my coach. Has anyone ever done that before? If so, where did you run the antenna wire? I will be mounting the antenna on the roof and it will be forward. Dennis

We purchased the XM PCRadio and merely set the antenna on the table by a south facing window. It works great. ------------------ Jim & Anne Dorough 93 Barth Breakaway

Dennis, we originally just put our antenna on the dash, but there were times, in the mountains when we would lose connection. So we had it mounted on top, now no problems at all. You will LOVE it. Susie

Apparently you can install the radio permanently in the coach. Right now we have the 'vehicle kit' and wires all over the place. We are going to have those wires miraculously 'disappear' as soon as we get to our friendly coach repair man. Gary gave me the 'boom box' for it for Christmas. Now I can have my music outside! (was invaluable in Mexico, had the whole campsite listening to the news about capturing Saddam.) Susie

There is also a west coast mirror bracket style, black, inch thick with a 6 inch cone shape on top, which I got at Circuit City. It was for some other type system but plugged right into my xm box. Being 3 feet tall allowed for 360 degree signial and only lost signial when parked in a deep cut mountain roadway.
