My blower motor was making a lot of noise from bad bearings. I took it off and matched it up by sight to one from O'Rielys. The new motor fit in nicely but made a very loud noise from vibrating. I took that one out and replaced it with another one and it does the same thing. I ensured the bolts were very tight. It's loud when adjusted to low and extremely loud when adjusted the high. What is the problem??

strange. The new one I installed just purred.
must be something other than the new motor/fan assembly -- like a problem with the way you are attaching it to the plenum.
By the way, I think you could have found the part number from previous thread(s) in the forum.

It sounds like the blower is out of balance.

Check to see if the housing has warped. When I replaced mine I had to do some jockeying with the fan mount to keep the fan from hitting the inside of the housing. Small burrs on the plastic fan were dragging on the housing. Trimmed the burrs and shimmed out the motor slightly to restore clearance. good luck. mechanic

I had to do some alterations also. Make sure the fan isn't to close to the back as any irregularity will chatter against it if it hits. I tried the fan before I installed it so I knew it was hitting somewhere.

The old plastic fan was actually split and would move in and out head bang

Our blower fan works well, but doesn't seem to put out the volume we would like - even on high - with either the heater or the dash air. Was wondering if anyone has a part number for a higher volume air/heater fan that will install correctly?
Thanks in advance.

I agree not enough volume. I am investigating a way of boosting with out increasing the sound/noise. I removed the air conditioner coils and it helped some. Let me know if you come up with anything
