Well I finally think I found the trouble of the backfiring. After I replaced everything I could and three different shops checked the distributor, the 4th shop took the distributor apart and it was burnt and rusted through. Thousands of dollars later it turns out to be the problem, that every shop checked then replaced something else. Now maybe I can make it to Milford,
