I don't know if there all hooked up this way or somone rigged mine. The power from the convertor and the 2 deep cycle batteries are joined together at the convertor than feeding up to my fuse panel. This charges my batts continuislly which causes them to boil over. Should there be somthing to monitor the charge level and discontinue power to them till they need to be recharged? My convertor is an oldie but a goddie 1980 70watt. Thanks for any and all imput.

Disabling the charge function of your converter would be a good idea. The newer "smart" chargers have several stages, which includes a "float" charge, and will not damage your batteries. Or you could install a switch that would allow you to use or not use the charge function of your converter. Monitoring your battery voltage on a digital voltmeter will allow you to charge but not overcharge. Not automatic, though.

Thanks for the information Bill, really appriciate it. I've got a heavey duty automatic battery charger that pooped out. Couldn't figure why I was hanging on to it. Now I know, think I'll try to use the parts and make an automatic set up for my coach batteries.
