tom taylorEngine Idle
My idle is a bit low and creates vibrations inside the coach. Bumping it up a little with the pedal makes a difference. Is there an easy way to adjust this or is it something Cummins has to do...

Medic37...vibration at idle is *horribly* normal...
Window frames, cabinet doors [with old gas springs], anything that isn't tied-down or insulated from themselves [like pots and pans].
Would be great to know if there is a way to tighten-up those windows.

CorcoHi all,
I found this link where a guy was having a vibration issue BUT it was because the engine wasn't running right. It had multiple issues, injectors and blow by on two cylinders. The engine had high miles on it though.Engine only ran bad once it was warmed up.

Mogan DavidShadow had two fundamental problems:
(1) engine with 650,000 miles
(2) Cummins Bridgeway

bud@YXYWe find our Cummins 8.3 idles just fine with no adverse conditions noted by DW or me. our windows so far show no tendency to rattle

tom taylorMine only does this when first cranked cold. I noticed that when the airbrake pressure is down, the pedal is disabled until the pressure builds up. That is a good feature.

MWrenchOne thing you DON'T want to to is raise the idle very far or you will be having issues with the coach wanting to creep while in gear. It is working against the torque converter and if idle is too high, it will load. I had a problem of the idle being too low as the engine would stall when going from drive to reverse I raised it up to about 850
RPM and that was too high. while at a light, it took a bit more brake pressure to hold it.
