Per a suggestion in one of my threads, Im trying to figure the weight, to have my 1984, 35 ft Barth, brought by trailer, to the house, which may be cheaper than getting the required number of wheels and tires, at least for the time being. Title says the weight is 7500 lbs, at original sale, Data-Plate/Tag says GAWV: Front-5000; Rear-9840. 1st) would that 9840 be split between to drive-axle and tag-axle? 2nd) puts max gross weight at 14,840? 3rd) she has the cockpit and the bathroom, otherwise gutted, with paneling that needs to go, which would further lighten the load. 4th) To the best of my knowledge, she has nothing in any of the tanks. Should I split the difference and guesstimate the weight to be around 11,000 lbs for estimating the charges? It WILL take a winch to get her loaded, but how to unload her...? Open to suggestions... You will need a flat bed 18 wheeler to move it because of the height and weight. That coach will weigh at least 14,000 pounds. I suspect, but do not know, that you are looking at up to $3.00 per mile for a suitable rig and driver. You can go online and look for quotes from moving companies and construction equipment movers. If you are going to fix it anyway why not get the tires and get it running where it is? I think it will be significantly cheaper to drive it, even slowly than shipping plus repairs. 1993 32' Regency Wide Body, 4 speed Allison Trans, Front Entry door, Diamond Plate aluminum roof & 1981 Euro 22' w Chevy 350 engine and TH 400 tranny | |||
