I'm looking at a Barth in Northern Florida and would like to hire a competent person, mechanically inclined, to look at it for me. I'd like to know exactly what I'd be getting myself into.

Hey Easywind,

Thanks for dropping by. I think it is wise to have a good RV/mechanic look at a coach before you buy. Remember, Barths are great coaches but the newest one your are going to find will be a minimum of 6 years old. So there can be expensive things that can go wrong. Even if you have to spend $100+ to have it checked out you can save your self thousands. what is the year and chassis you are looking at??

Dave, it's a 76 and I believe a p30 chassis. It's on the site under for sale. Bunch of problems but I'm looking to drive it twice a year for 3000 miles a way and park it on the beach. It may or not be what I'm looking for but getting things done in Mexico is cheaper and the Mexicans are excellent at fixing things.
