I have this Valve and the auto parts store has not yet been able to find a new one.

And this is the inside control panel

I have been searching in the 1990 to 1998 Chevy/Gmc as the ignition key is from a chevy. The control panel also looks like a chevy. However another post described the Vacumn control as from a Ford so I wonder if this is from a ford product.

The control cable came off because the valve is difficult to turn. There is a manual water valve in line that I can turn off and on, but it is a pain to stop, go out, open the front, turn on/off the valve get back in, go up a mountain, turn it back on, come back down turn it off......

There is also some corrosion on the outside of the valve that bothers me, greenish tint.

I also don't know how to tell if the heater hoses that run from the back engine with a booster pump need to be replaced or not. I have no leaks and nothing seems to be cracked. There are 2 hoses both about 30 feet long, unless they mate up with a pipe under the rig but i have not gotten into that yet.

Been there, done that. Couldn't find a direct replacement, but looked through a parts catalog. I found a similarly configured valve the had the control cable installed differently. It took some manipulation of the valve's location, & some re-routing of the cable to make it work, but work it did.

That control panel is a typical Chrysler product.

Look at this - it works with some re-routing of hoses and the cable. http://www.bouchillonperforman...m/BPEheaterValve.asp

It looks like the valve is from a GMC Safari Van with this link http://shop.advanceautoparts.c...COOLAMS_888815201___ for Advance Auto parts.

However as these things go, I thought the valve was frozen, but when I took the control cable off it, it is bent and will not slide. I am trying to WD40 it now.
