Hey guys, hope this is the right forum.

Please can someone explain to me how the water system works in the Barth Regal (1990).
I'm a little confused and I have no manual.

I understand I fill up the water tank via the panel at the rear right of the vehicle, but what does the other "water pressure regulator" socket do on the otherside of the bus?

Do I need to fill up with water via this?

Could someone also advise what the "Autofill" switch does inside the bus. Is that related?

Also is there an online owners manual for the Barths? I would love to understand what some of the switches & gauges do, and ideally get all of them working as they should.

I have the same question about the auto-fill switch. I have a 1989 Regal. What the heck does that switch do?

Some Barths have two "fill" fittings. One is to fill the tank; the other, frequently with an integral regulator, is for supplying the coach with shore water, bypassing the tank and pump. The pump has to be shut off if this fitting is used.

The Autofill is designed to fill the FW tank from the shore water connection through a solenoid valve (usually an LPG valve), then shut off when full. There is also a manual valve that shuts off the flow, useful if the autofill valve fails (a common occurrence).

That's a picture of the the regulator... Reduces the local water pressure... The auto fill valve is near the water pump and storage tank... Has 2 wires hooked to it....maybe someone can post a picture of one... ( I have a '92 breakaway so it might be a little different )...and, yes, you have to be connected to a supply of water for it to put water in the tank !... No magic needed...

On my older coach I don't have autofill, I have a Tube for the hose to fit into loosely that just overflows onto the ground when full. The fitting for shore water is a standard hose fitting, but not being identified as a regulator, [some are and some aren't], I bought a brass regulator that fits between the hose and the coach. They are about 12 bucks and will keep you from blowing hoses in the coach if the campground has too high water pressure.
Also, if I'm hooked to shore water and forget to turn the pump off, the toilet reminds me when I flush! Water flies everywhere.
