Does anyone know if the p32 chassis with the 454 can be converted to a flat bed? The frame with the strong rear axel ...seems to be very simple and strong.

My Barth is rough...but the chassis and drive tran is very strong and sound....converting it to a flat bed seems simple with a "cab" on the frame...but I don't know

Imput is appreciate
John

It should work. You would end up with a floor just like the Barth floor. You would have to adapt fender tubs and probably reinforce the floor.

Bill & Boomer:
During the gas crisis in '73 & '74, we, Chevrolet
Engineers, were sent out to the various MH & Body
Builders to help them make MH chassis into Cab
Chassis. We found some company, in the Elkhart area, that was able to make us a cab to fit on the
chassis, and then they sent the cab-chassis to have 2 or 3 bdr box placed on them for a delivery
truck. I don't remember the name of the company
that made the cab, but I know it can be done.

Best of luck, Jake Jacobson
