as far as the house batreries are concerned we have two 12s in parallel. the main mistake I made was in assuming that the dealer's rep knew what he was talking about when he said that they had installed two 12's in series to replace the "24" volt original. there was no 24 volt original it was a 12v 8d replaced with two type 24 12volt interstates correctly wired in parallel ( a marginally adequate substitute for the single 8d that was defective.) the other mistake was not looking carefully at the original batteries during the pre-delivery inspection so that I would have known that none of the batteries were 24volts (or wired to produce 24 volts)

the coach is fine thanks for the carefully prepared charts.

I added the charts to the post so others would know what we were talking about. Once you said 8d battery and group 24 I knew you were straightened out.

When posting info, I like the maximum amount of people to benefit from said post. My attempt at the diagram was to help everyone understand what we were talking about. Cool

And besides, I like making diagrams. Big Grin

You said you have already purchased a new camera system but if you go to the Sony website, they can arrange to repair or replace your faulty component for a flat fee. We lost the rear camera on our 94 Sovereign and was able to replace it for about $350 or so.
