RustyMinor, Non-ingenious Radio Mod
I replaced the radio in my Barth.
I also added a DPDT CO switch so I can annoy the neighbors when parked.
In the driving position ("up") the radio is powered by the accessory rail. "Down", it's powered directly from the engine battery.

bill hMine runs off the coach battery all the time. Which is charged when I am driving. That way, I can't forget to switch over and deplete the chassis battery.

timnlanaI have to laugh it beats crying. I built a radio setup with a solenoid energized by the ignition and diodes to isolate the power sources so it would automatically run from the engine battery underway and then from the house batteries when parked.
Gee what a piece of over-engineering.
Bill’s answer about "I wired the radio directly to the house battery" was a catharsis. Oh well there is now 12 volts at the cigarette lighter and the like that switches as well but boy did I over do that.
All things considered Rusty's double pole switch is also looking real nice, given some hind sight.
