tom taylorAir bags
I noticed I have a rear airbag that is rotten. Holding air but I do not know why. Has anyone changed one of these. My son, the Freightliner truck driver and mechanic says it is easy. I said fine, you can do it..... Guess I need to call Gilig to see if I can get a part number that crosses to something like Freightliner, or whatever...

Nick CagleTom, I replaced the rear air bags on "Ugly Betty". Very simple and straight forward. Took longer to gather tools and get ready than actually change the bags. I used the leveling jacks to raise the coach as high as possible to give maximum room between the suspension and the frame.

I also changed my Royale airbags (Chevy chassis). They were pretty easy.
ONE important thing...I also used the jacks to help raise the rig...ALWAYS have a backup way to raise your coach....I used a hydraulic bottle jack in addition to the leveling jacks....in case one fails, you have another in place....
