I want to reseal all the horizontal surfaces of the Breakaway that were once sealed at the factory. Examples would be the exterior 110 receptacles, the horizontal strip at the belt of the coach, trim around the cargo bins, all openings for things like the hot water heater, the refrigerator access panel, the furnace access panel. If you want to remove a panel or outlet finisher (a/k/a "cover"), then I suggest using the same butyl tape for windows. However, I user silicone sealers frequently For panels that require drilling out rivets; the key is a thoroughly clean surface and to tape off the areas the sealer is unwanted. I use electrical tape. I use acetone to prep the area, first with a paper towel then soaked on an old toothbrush, following up with the paper towel. The sealer should be worked into the seam with a fingertip. Once that's done, the tape can be removed.
