A finish to the problem (except the cruise control). I used a micrometer and found the pin I ordered from ebay was 1/32 too large. I put the squared end in my drill press and made sure it was centered. Set it on a medium speed and used some very light files above and below the nub. I took my time and keep checking the size until it was right. I then took my dremel tool and carefully removed the area around the nub until it was close. Then took a jeweler file and lightly finished it. The pin then fit right in. I took it to Allison in Fort Myers today and they put it all back together for me and - thats right folks the speedometer is working again. Plus there was no charge from them. ![]() Got on the interstate and tried the cruise. Twice it felt like it wanted to hold but dropped off and I could not get it to work. I think it is a wiring problem? ground? or maybe a fuse. Anyway the main thing is , it is nice to see the speedometer working again. ![]() Jim | |||
