A finish to the problem (except the cruise control). I used a micrometer and found the pin I ordered from ebay was 1/32 too large. I put the squared end in my drill press and made sure it was centered. Set it on a medium speed and used some very light files above and below the nub. I took my time and keep checking the size until it was right. I then took my dremel tool and carefully removed the area around the nub until it was close. Then took a jeweler file and lightly finished it. The pin then fit right in. I took it to Allison in Fort Myers today and they put it all back together for me and - thats right folks the speedometer is working again. Plus there was no charge from them. Got on the interstate and tried the cruise. Twice it felt like it wanted to hold but dropped off and I could not get it to work. I think it is a wiring problem? ground? or maybe a fuse. Anyway the main thing is , it is nice to see the speedometer working again. Jim | |||
