The in-dash unit? Most of these have an in-line fuse in the main power wire leading from **somewhere** under your dash to the radio. If this is the ONLY component of your vehicle that has lost power than it is logical that the in-line fuse has blown. Find the (usually) red wire coming out of the radio that is obviously not a speaker wire, (they are usually colors other than red) follow it back to find the plastic fuse holder. Every radio SHOULD have one (your mileage may vary!) It should be a glass BUSS type of fuse. Make sure to replace it with exactly the same rating fuse. If it blows again, it's likely something shot in the radio.

have trackrd down fuse holder. problem is don't get 12+ voltage to fuse holder or memory 12v. while replacing radio accidently shorted ground and 12v posative terminal. checked it imediatly still had 12v. when finally tested no volts on memory, and switched voltage only conclusion is pop a fuse going to radio, I have voltage to all other accessories.

Hello locoengup: Could you describe what happened with a bit more detail? First, I don't quite follow you as to the accidental shorting issue... were you installing a new radio? Did you check ALL fuses? It's likely there is a dedicated circuit from your chassis for only the radio's power feed, and that could be the reason you get no power up to the in line fuse and why all other accessories are working. Have you bench tested the radio to see if the shorting issue fried it? Too many variables that you have not explained!
