Hot wire goes into a continuous duty solenoid. It appears that a ground wire is on small terminal. What triggers the solenoid? Thanks Tom

Possibly it goes to the main 12VDC house power cutoff switch.

BTW, if you need it, the owners manual is here.

Rusty, You are right they do go to the 12 volt cutoff. Why? Do I really need the solenoid? If I connect the two reds together the DLS works as it should. Tom

I'm not the right one to ask Big Grin. Because it's rare my coach sits for more than a few weeks, I never shut off the interior 12 VDC, and the coach is always plugged in to 120 VAC.

IMHO, that solenoid is useful only if one's coach lays dormant for months, is disconnected from shore power, and then drain from the 12 VDC circuits (except lighting) is severed.

If the solenoid works, keep it; if not, I'd say bypass it. It sounds like it doesn't work?
