My MCC apparently had a bus type over the road air conditioning once (now has two on roof)... and wondering if any others had/has this type/mode of cooling??? If so, or no, what was/is their experiences?? Seems to me from what I've read that it is better... or is it?? _________________________ The 82 MCC {by Barth} is not an rv-- it is a Motor Coach!! | |||

The advantage to the roof airs are better use of space and the need for no, or little, ducting. Bus air units are often much larger capacity because they must cool a room full of heat emitting humans traveling in a mobile greenhouse. You shoulda seen the system I took out of my "Saudi" MCI MC5C. The compressor was motor driven and as big as most 7500 generators!! Lots of space and lots of weight not needed in an RV. Yup! That's why most RVs have roof airs and buses have bus air. The other difference is that bus air is made to cool while traveling, roof airs are mostly for when stopped and plugged in. The disadvantage is crappy air while traveling.
