Danny ZAir conditioner- power supply
This past weekend we observed a surging in the AC unit that we never had before. The state park was full. Saturday afternoon we had the AC running just to keep the inside fairly cool, but when I went inside I could hear the AC unit running fine, then it would cut out a little, then back to full, etc. The lights didn't dim at all but they are 12v through the converter so I'm thinking they were fine. I turned off the AC because it wasn't a nessecity and I didn't have a voltmeter with me to see if it was a supply or a coach AC problem.
I don't have a really good supply at home but I have the genny. I'll leave it here and see what the guys have to say I should do next.

RustyThat could be a symptom of low voltage (I keep an AC meter plugged in all the time where I can see it) or a dying run capacitor.
Could you tell if it were the fan slowing fown, the compressor, or both?

bud@YXYThere is gizmo called a "Kill-a-watt" that for aprox $35 gives voltage,& hertz info as well as for items plugged into it: watts, kilowatt hrs,and amps.They were on "sale" (as much as anything is "on-sale") at Camping world and have also seen them in ACE hardware.
We found one park last fall that was at 103 volts for awhile---- it would be a better product if it had a low voltage buzzer.

Can it slow fown on both 115 and 230? Does it matter if it is only single faze?

bill hDanny, did you use the microwave?
If so, how did it work? Any dimming of its inside light or display?

Tom and I stayed at this park a few years back, the park was almost empty when we were there, I recall that we had electric issues as well, not exactly what you had, but I recall issues, one of the reasons we decided not to return to camp there again.
The reason I remember it clearly was Tom's comment about bad electric, and that the park wasn't even full yet, he said something like "wonder what the electric would be like if they had a full park". Now we know.
Hope that you find the culprit, I suspect you may find that it is not the Barth.
