I realize that the subject of "tail-lights" has been previously discussed here, however, my plight is to convert most of my exterior lighting from incandescent to L.E.D...

Most of this conversion is simple, with the amount of L.E.D. technology and variety of light combinations to choose from.

The tail-light configuration will be the most challenging to contend with.

Does anyone have knowledge of any aftermarket L.E.D. products that would fit in the tail-light openings of a 1990 32' Regency DP on a Spartan Chassis???

The tail-light housing bears the markings of:

Monarch 5129 SAE-A1P2RST-1

...with lenses:

Red Only: Monarch 9074
With Reverse: Monarch 9075

If I can't find anything "aftermarket", then I fully intend on designing and building something myself to replace the current incandescent configuration to an LED configuration.

I did mine....pretty straight forward (i.e.: just a bulb swap-out) EXCEPT for turn signal light...LEDs don't draw enough current (3/10th amp or so) to trip the flasher so you might need an inline resistor to "fool" the flasher....readily available from LED suppliers......

For front turn signals, you need the wide-angle bulb.....LED's are pretty one-directional and standard bulb won't show much from any angle other than straight ahead

I also re-did all my running lights w/ LED...with 20-30,000 hr life, it's nice not to be constantly changing incandescents....Not to mention about 75-80% less current draw (saving THAT juice to power the halogen headlights soon)

Since I hope to change-over ALL signal lights [anything that flashes], I will be switching to an LED Flasher as well [CEC product EF-32L].

And I also understand the option of replacing just the individual bulbs [1156 / 1157] with an LED replacement.

My plan is to replace ALL fixtures to an LED equivalant [I might wait on the front headlight assemblies and replace the entire insert with a fire-service (chrome) type unit]...

However, I'm actually looking for an "aftermarket" tail-light assembly that would completly replace the current verticle, 3-lamp unit. If something is available, then I would consider it, other wise, I am willing to actually remanufacture "something" that would fit into the existing rectangular openings, measuring 6" x 14.5"...

I have a 1984 Regency with Monarch tail lights, lens 9074. Optronics makes a trailer light kit with a square lens almost the same size as the Monarch. I couldn't find the lights separately so I bought the trailer kit and just used the stop and tail LED assy.
It wasn't an exact fit with the mounting holes but I was able to drill new holes along side the original mounting holes.
The light kits retail for about $70 but I was able to get them thru a Marine dealer at cost for $48. So each light cost me about $25 and that was comparable to single led lights that I had seen elsewhere

My friend just found out that swapping stock tail lights for LED tail lights is not that difficult like it might seem. Simply follow the easy step by step guide to have the LED tail lights added to your ride and let others envy what you have.
Here's what i've got from ebay: http://www.ebay.com/sch/sis.ht..._itemId=390319295507
