I have an older Detroit 8.2 fuel miser V-8 Model 40877300 and I'm looking where I can order a new or rebuilt fuel shut off solenoid. Also if possible some type of information on how it works. I have been told the it works on 12 volts to start then drops the voltage to keep it open???? I have had it stop a couple of times soon after it starts and will not fire after, but after about an hour it will start and run fine. Any help for this??? Is it possible it won't hold open after it drops voltage???
