I replaced the original Rostra cruise control a few years back with an Audiovox that was vacuum operated and got its speed signal from a magnetic pickup on the drive shaft. It has been giving my intermittent failures, so time to do something. So I bought a new Rostra 250-1223 Universal Electronic Cruise. No vacuum required. Works off the VSS signal from the Allison 2000. Set the pulses per mile to 18,000 and we now have cruise. Also found a leak in the a/c lines for the dash air, so life in the Barth is good again. Working cruise and cool air is really great. '92 Barth Breakaway - 30' 5.9 Cummins (6B) 300+ HP 2000 Allison Front entrance

A cruise control is on my list, but I have a gas 454 so is a vacuum unit my only option, looks like the one I have is an after market unit.

You can get an aftermarket cruise from Dakota digital. Needs no vacuum. Not too pricey. https://www.barthmobile.com/eve...003916777#7003916777 9708-M0037-37MM-01 "98" Monarch 37 Spartan MM, 6 spd Allison Cummins 8.3 325+ hp
