I am thinking about renovating the inside of my Barth. One of the things I would like to do is change the color of all my interior vinyl including the captain and passenger chairs. It is currently a malve color and I would like to change it to a tan or maybe white. How hard would it be? Has anybody ever done this?

I forgot to mention above that I wanted to use vinyl die to change the color. Has anybody ever done that with success?

And change the word "die" above to "dye". That's what happens when you speak into your iPad instead of typing it in my finger.

Dye will change the vinyl or leather but in high rub areas and creases it will rub off. For a short term change it looks great. You can get spray dye in lots of colors.

Yeah, I kind of figured that too Tom with products you find off the shelf. How long do you think it might last? I have seen guys do it on u-tube renovating seats in older cars.

The SEM brand is what professional upholsterers use and it has a longer life. We get it from an auto paint distributor like those that sell PPG auto paint.
