I recently came across the concept of using hush boxes with RV generators many different opinions.... http://weldingweb.com/showthre...-Morin-you-have-a-PM https://eplaya.burningman.com/viewtopic.php?t=67646 http://www.hushmat.com/NEW_Recreation.php http://earthroamer.com/xv-lt/s.../no-noisy-generator/ _________________________ The 82 MCC {by Barth} is not an rv-- it is a Motor Coach!!

yup... last one... that is the solution -- extra alternator turned by the Ford diesel in the EarthRoamer. There is a little Onan Microlite 2800 under my Class B. I was able to make the noise of it less harsh by clamping on a Cummins accessory resonator. It served to suppress the particularly raucous pop pop pop pop pop. Even if the measured decibels might still be the same, the most annoying component of the exhaust sound is suppressed.

If you want to see it done, come to Milford and I'll show you how to have a quiet 10kw diesel generator in a Regency. 1993 32' Regency Wide Body, 4 speed Allison Trans, Front Entry door, Diamond Plate aluminum roof & 1981 Euro 22' w Chevy 350 engine and TH 400 tranny
